Glitrande Heim is my next, soon-to-be-released, self-published book, the culmination of more than a decade of returning to Norway through family ties. What began as occasional trips slowly evolved into a long-term body of work, shaped by repetition and family habits.

Glitrande Heim, is not the more common place Norway photography book, as it showcases no auroras, no must-see landmarks and avoids postcard clichés. Instead, Glitrande Heim moves through forests, valleys, and mountain slopes that became part of my family life. It traces the same paths we took year after year, sometimes under snow, sometimes under summer storms. The photographs map my shift from being an outsider with a camera to someone who has gained a growing feeling of belonging.

The structure of the book mirrors this progression. Early chapters observe more candidly, almost tentatively. Later chapters expand outward, as my children grow old enough to come along on longer explorations, road trips, and shared discoveries. By the final pages, the focus drifts toward a new direction: landscapes where human presence and infrastructure intersect. This shift hints at where my photographic work in Norway is heading beyond this book.

Visually, the work crosses terrain between travel, landscape, and documentary without being bound by any single genre. What holds it all together is its overall tone and diaristic nature. Glitrande Heim reflects a Norway rarely seen: lived-in and almost ordinary
